Pete Desfigies

Pete leads Mjolnir Security's dark web and threat intelligence work. He watches the criminal forums, marketplaces and leak sites where stolen data and access are traded, and turns what surfaces there into early warning, attribution and hunts for our clients.

His intelligence work runs from isolated indicators through to actor-level attribution: tracking adversary campaigns, analysing their infrastructure and tooling, and converting findings into detection content and clear briefings for executives.

His background spans global internet backbone operations at UUNET, network and security analysis at Telus, CSIRT triage and incident handling at TD Bank, and threat hunting in the insurance sector. His independent threat research has been requested by and disclosed to national cyber agencies, including the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, CISA and the Australian Cyber Security Centre. He has presented at DEF CON, SecTor and BSides Toronto.
